Yutao Chen

Originally from Shanghai, China, Yutao Chen is a multimedia journalist practicing visual storytelling across various platforms in the United States. With a background in filmmaking and documentary photography, Yutao produces digital work that sits at the intersection of photography, video and design. His work has been recognized by the Online Journalism Awards, Society for News Design and The Webby Awards.

He is currently working as a news designer at The Washington Post, constructing multimedia narratives that deliver rich story experiences and expand the boundaries of visual storytelling on the web.
